ABOUT THE PROJECT
Created as part of a collaboration between the Fashion Institute of Technology, Universidad de Monterrey (Mexico), and LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore), this project explores the cross-pollination of fashion and psychoanalysis. I'm very excited to have this modular garment featured at the Museum at FIT as well as on the runway in Mexico on May 8.
For this project, I explored different uses of closures and their relativity to self-consciousness and exposure. These pieces challenge how garments are traditionally put on and create a canvas for the wearers to explore.
