ABOUT THE PROJECT
This custom-made dress was designed for Bahar Beihaghi for the premiere of Reading Lolita in Tehran at the Rome Film Festival. The piece draws inspiration from the iconic Freedom Tower in Tehran, symbolizing themes of liberation, which resonate with the film’s message. The dress features a meticulously hand-beaded front panel, crafted by me, with the design echoing elements from the tower’s intricate details. The skirt has a luxurious silk satin base, complemented by two layers of chiffon, creating a flowing, ethereal movement that enhances the overall elegance of the piece.
This garment was featured on the cover of Corriere della Sera – Sette magazine’s November issue.
